See the following link to the story of a missing female biker in No. Calif. area.

Maybe we could all take a little extra look while out and about.

I hope that this is incorrect, but the following is from another forum:

"I am a rider and old friend of Melida's from San francicso and another friend of mine just informed me that they found Melinda and she is dead. From what i heard(2nd hand--ill post anything that I find to follow) she was found at the bottom of a cliff off of route 1 in Fort Ross area with her bike. Sounds like she might have taken a deadly spill. Though this is tragic she was doing what she loved when she died."

I met her a couple years ago at the Bovine Bakery one morning. She was working at Santa Rosa BMW then.

She was pretty nice.

This is third hand info, but I just received a call to inform me about the situation and I was told she removed her protective riding gear, that it was found at the side of the road, indicating intent.

My comment is, each of us needs to look at this and recognize this was unnecessary, if it is fact.

Hate to spout off but when a Mountain climber dies climbing they say he died doing what he loved. I say he loved climbing not plummeting. So it is better to say he knew the risk and accepted it doing what he loved.

Either way she died it is tragic and possibly avoided. I pray for her and her family.

I was a Pastor.

My thought is that suicides are uniquely challenging funeral services, and the victims are those left behind...

Very sad.
