New tires always feel wonderful--do it.
First thing, do some curves ... before straight running wears the profiles flat.
Lucky you.

Take a penny and put in in a tread so that the protector of the Union's head is going into the thread headfirst. If the tread of the tire doesn't touch the Great Emancipator's locks, than it is time to get new tires. Seriously though Bubba, don't be a a cheap-ass and mess around with tires on their way out, get them replaced. With fall coming up and wet leaves, you'll be glad that you did.

i just ordered some more pilot roads, they were having a package deal on the 180s, so i went with those instead of the 170s i'm currently running. i've got the optional 5.5" wider rim, so they originally came with 180s anyway, always seemed like a waste of rubber to me, but whatever................

Do the old tires not have tread wear indicator bars across some of the grooves?
