04 1150rt Engine Stalling Out During Idle

Hello,

My motor seems to be stalling when idling at red lights and sometimes when turning. It appears to be from low rpm's during idle and then it cuts out. Doesn't do it with choke on (obviously high rpms at that time). My old motor had a adjustment for the idle rpm. Does the RT have something similar, Or off to the dealer I go?

big brass screws on the throttle bodies, check out the R1100 tech pages at The IBMWR Website (http://www.ibmwr.org) they will explain better than i can how to locate and properly turn these screws to acheive desired idle.........

This problem is difficult to diagnose with out knowing how many miles are on your bike and who is doing the maintenance. Did you replace the fuel filter at 25K? This was an issue with my bike and was fixed when I replaced the fuel filter. Do you do your own maintenance or is this perfromed by a dealer. Since your bike is an '04 you may have a warranty issue, see your dealer.
