I have a 1200gs.
I have jessie luggage
I ordered a Givi Topcase w/1200gs mounting kit that fits to stock luggage rack.
Support brackets for mounting kit won't work inconjunction with Jessie luggage.
So, do you think using the topcase without the support brackets will cause stock luggage rack to bust?

Yes.
Glad I read this, I was about to do just that! Now I'll have to reconsider.
Is this for the large or mid sized GIVI, or either?

both!
I had some nice support brackets made to work with the Jessies.
All is well now!

Howdy-
Well to resurrect this thread, I just purchased a VFR that came with Givi cases. Well after usuing them a little I like them better then the system cases. So now comes the question, can they be mounted on the RT (an 02) without a whole lot of modifications?
I saw from Kbasa's post that it won't work but are there other options?

Jim,
A local guy comes into the dealership with the GS's luggage rack broken.. why? He put a givi top case and didn't bother to install the support arms.. and get this, he wanted a warranty replacement. :)
