Calendar Events...?

I have to admit that I just this morning noticed the online calendar. Yeah, I know, the menu has been looking out at me for months, if not years. But in fact, I just noticed the calendar items listed at the bottom of the forum main page.

Is it really only for birthdays and W&W postings? What about forum-related group events like the Redwood Fungal Ride coming up next month? How about beemer-related events, that happen not to be put on by a sanctioned club (I'm thinking of the various rallies sanctioned by the Vintage BMW Motorcycle Owners club, for example, or even -- horrors! -- some RA events)?

It certainly would be nice if one could go to a single, central place to see all beemer-related events...
