Hang over finally over from last (2) weeks debacle. Tampa Bay is coming to town, why can't this be a december game? Tampa is looking good, some guy named cadillac is running rough shod over everyone.
Pack is just the opposite, nothing impressive on any side of the ball.

However don't count my boys out just yet.
my prediction....

hmmmm Pack does what it needs to do to get a win on the board, its a nail biter. Tampa bay covers the spread (3.5)but loses. Final score 31-28 Pack

or we just suck again final score 48-3 Tampa.

as a side note
badgers open big ten play against michigan
my prediction, i'll be drunk by game time and slobber chicken wing sauce down my shirt

any thoughts from all the pats fans about the steeler game?

Week three is always a good one for upsets and changes in team's fortunes.

The firsts two weeks the Pack was puposelessly wondering around the field. If they can get their heads together they can pull a close one out. I don't know about the score but I expect to be behind after the half and pull it out in the last six minutes.

If we blow this one it is going to be a season of watching the other teams come to town.

Good luck with the Badgers. I may have been born in Mad City but I went to UMn. (Nobody wants to go to school in their hometown if they can get away) Gophers open against Purdue. We have a better runing game right now than the Pack. Maybe we can show in the Big 10.

Living in Lilydale... I am curious as to Miss Lillies views on all of this.

Living in Lilydale... I am curious as to Miss Lillies views on all of this.

Miss Lillie is a born cheesehead (she owns one also). She loves her packer's and Brett. She claims she will marry him someday, her theory is she's 4 and he's #4, so its a match. However she wished those other teams would let the Packer's win because that would be more fair. She also has announced that my share of stock will be passed to her.
next year I'll take her to her first game.

I bet that pic was taken from the top of Mt. Washington. I visited
Pittsburgh and I liked it very much. The Pats' running game has yet
to get on track and the Steeler's run defense might keep it off track.
The secondary is hurting and Troy Brown is again being asked to help
out at corner. I think the Pats can win, but they obviously will need
their best effort. Last year's outcome will give the Steelers extra incentive
to pound their asses. Hopefully it's a good game.

I'm hoping for a Steeler win also, kinda liked them ever since my first Packer game Christmas Eve 1995......

A man named Yancy Thigpen and the Steelers came to Lambeau Field. It was the end of the game. The Steelers needed a touchdown to win and Thigpen all alone in the end zone caught the ball. There went the Packers opportunity to go to the playoffs. But wait. What was this? He dropped the ball! Off to the playoffs we went.

Some say he mouthed "Merry Christmas Green Bay" as he dropped the ball.

I'm sorry, is the Packers/Steelers game even going to be a contest? I don't think so. The Steelers will run rough-shod over Favre and company.

They probably will, but not until Nov. 6th at the "frozen tundra".

I've got Pittsuburgh roots, too. Lived there during the times of Bradshaw, Mean Joe Green, etc. and just loved it, especially when they beat Oakland! Left in 1977 to come to Michigan. The city has improved immeasurably since I left. (Take that any way you want.)

I heard that the Packers are thinking of moving to Canada and joining the CFL.

Go Colts.

as a wealthy owner I know this article of Incorporation well:

Based on the original 'Articles of Incorporation for the (then) Green Bay Football Corporation' put into place in 1923, if the Packers franchise was sold, after the payment of all expenses, any remaining monies would go to the Sullivan-Wallen Post of the American Legion in order to build "a proper soldier's memorial." This stipulation was enacted to ensure that the club remained in Green Bay and that there could never be any financial enhancement for the shareholder. The beneficiary was changed from the Sullivan-Wallen Post to the Green Bay Packers Foundation on the basis of a shareholder vote at the November 1997 meeting.

By the way the Packers have the best record in all of football since the start of the modern free agency period. (since 1992)

Mark,

Saturday was good for both of us, if a bit nerve racking. I stick with my previous prediction but have high hopes.

As to the crazy rumors flying around this fan feels safe with team owners like you. I'll hoist a cool one to the owners this afternoon. :drink

The Good:
Badgers beat michigan, moved into top 25.
Packers are only a game out of 1st in the central.

The Bad:
The Packs offense and play calling.

The Ugly:
0-3 with 0-2 at home.
