I just got a 2005 R1200 GS. I want to change the Exhaust to an underseat type so I can get a full size luggage on the left side. I spoke to Al at Jesse Luggage Systems and he has one from Germany (Hatt Sommer) for the R1150 GS. He will not be getting one for the 1200 GS because the proposed cost is around $1400. I am interested in anyones experience with underseat exhausts and any that may be available for the R1200GS. Thank you!

Doesn't Touratech have a lower pipe for the gs family to allow for the full case?

A rider here wanted to do the same thing on an 1150GS, he removed the exhaust, left the cat on, and replaced it with an 8 inch metal curved pipe. Very little, if any change in volume, as a matter of fact he started it to see if we could "see" the difference and everyone kind of looked at each other and shrugged, had no idea what he was talking about, he had to point to the pipe for us to get it.
