My K75RT fairing has a broken bracket under the speedo/headlight. The best the local shop can find in the Microfiche shows a bracket but says 'for electric windshield option only.' with no other bracket. Are these the same? If I buy this one, it's $125.00 and it doesn't work, they have a restocking fee that will probably be $12 to $25. I really want this fixed before the RA rally next month. The mechanic doesn't think he could weld up the broken bracket but I might get another shop in town to take a crack at that.

When I look up the bracket for a K75RT I see that it uses the same bracket from 89 through 96. Even with the electric windshield the only difference is that there are other pieces that bolt to the bracket that are not needed without the electric windshield. The part numbers are the same for all years of K75RT's.

odd that the fiche would say 'elect w/s only' when the parts are the same but I can quit worrying about having to return the part and then welding the old one.
:clap
Thks for the link!! I saw something like this on Bob's BMW but can't ressurect the link. This will help a bunch. I have to keep this bike running at least til my kids get out of college. Now I can get part numbers without having to wait for the shop to dig them out. outstanding. :type

I think you're probably thinking of Bob's own catalogue in .pdf format.
IF you liked this online manifestation of the BMW ETK, you'll love Max BMW's Online Parts Fiche (http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/fiche.asp) AND free shipping on parts orders over $50.
