We are sorting out the last issues with the site move and changes. Your patience is much appreciated. If you still can not get logged in, please give us another day and we will hopefully have this sorted out and we can all return to gabbing about riding and bikes.

Thank you,

the web team.

We are aware of the following, and some other less pressing issues, and making fixes:

1. DNS issues. Propogation has been spotty and there appears to be a gap between the name servers and the server itself. This should be resolved within the next day or so.

2. Password reset e-mail. Some e-mails are getting snagged by ISP spam blockers. You wouldn't even know that it was blocked, only that it didn't arrive. We're looking into the headers sent to see if we can make the e-mails more palatable to the ISP's.

3. General moa e-mail. This should now be resolved for all users.

4. General assistance. A new step by step set of instructions will be posted shortly for those finding resetting their password difficult.

If you can, please continue to be patient. The office and web team staff are aware of the problems and are doing what we can to address them.

Scott,
Thanks for all your (and others) hard work! I just checked and the DNS
servers seem to be working for me now. I was forced to use the IP address learlier today so it looks like the propagation is progressing.

Thank you,

the web team.I commend all your hard work getting the new system in place, but I did have to chuckle when I saw the line " If you still can not get logged in, please give us another day" I mean isn't that like telling someone "if your phone service is down, call us to report a problem"? :) (sorry, just couldn't resist!) :)

I vote we recall the volunteers that worked on this project!!!! What a disgrace, just think we could have paid to have this work done.

Everytime I e-mailed BB, he answered within an hour, just shows he was not busy fixing the problem.

I'm out of here.

time to cause troubles on other threads.

PS.... thanks guys :thumb

Petron? Not Herradura, or Don Julio? Well, at least you didn't say Jose' (blah) or Cabo-wabo (gack!)

The follow-up question is: With training wheels, or without?

What knary and the rest of the crew did, moving to a new server, is what I do for a living. Except I work on much larger machines, main frames, large Unix servers. It ain't cheap to get paid help to do it. I know what they went through and they did it for free. :clap Eye-Bee-Em would have charged a small fortune to do this move.

For those who are not totally aware of what is involved, there are always minor gliches after the move. So be patient, everything will be back to normal soon enough.

I'm curious. What hardware did you guys move this to? What OS? What web server?

BTW, great job guys.

I'm about 500 miles away, but if he wants to come to Idaho to ride our great GS roads, he can sure stay at my house and Amy and I willl cook him a rib eye steak and he can drink from my collection of Herradura Tequila. IMHO better than Petrone. :stick
