As for Trout and Smallmouth Bass fishing (for those that like to bring along a 4-piece rod) the out of state licenses are reasonable and you cannot throw a rock without hitting a great stream!

A must stop - at the intersection of the "must ride" routes 220 and 39 is the Homestead's Jefferson Pools (http://www.thehomestead.com/spa/pools.asp). There is no better addition to a long day spent exploring West Virginia's backroads than an amazingly relaxing dip in the Homestead's Jefferson Pool (they even supply a private changing room and towels!)
