Shifter extender for low pegs????

I just bought a K1200RS today and it has lower pegs which makes my longs legs very comfy. BUT now the shifter is in the wrong place. I need it to be a little lower. Is there a place I can get a lower shifter? Has anyone attempted to make a "homemade" shifter?

When I installed a lower peg kit for my K1200RS it came with a little shifter extension piece. If you don't have one you might check around and see if they are available separately.

I found one at the pirates lair. I cant beleve how much they charged for a little piece of aluminum! I guess I'll have to get used to it though.
