after what seemed like eternity,my PD tank has finally returned wearing a new color....

...now I'll let 'er harden up a bit,apply the new tank graphics and rubber pieces, and slap 'er on!!!!

looks great rich, who did the paint? I like to fool around with painting, and do a generally good job, but that looks really nice.

A guy here in Chicago that the Dealer sales guy reccomended.

It's True BM' paint. Guy said it was a b!#ch to paint cuz it is a fibre glass tank. Had to heat it up in the paint booth. He's coming over this weekend to buff the tank out.

Really nice looking paint job, color and detail; good job!

Also, where do I get new decals etc. for tank and side covers to help finish the look after a complete painting? Is it just from a local dealer?

Nice paint job :thumb . I like the bumblebee look of all those GS models. Your bike looks really cool! :D :thumb

For replacement "tank/side panel/graphics", checkout Max BMW online parts list.
Find and copy part numbers you need and call Chicago BMW with part numbers and order the graphic's and save 20%.

The particular tank graphic's I'm installing on my "Black P/D tank" to fit on my GS100 Bumblebee, are for the "P/D Classic". They were only produced one year,1995 for the last production year of the "airhead GS",available in the US..

Make sure you check each "graphic/part number" before you order,there are several color and graphic combinations,for the different years of bikes and P/D models.
