View Full Version : Bmw Rt1150
I was at the Sunbeemers campout in Venice Florida last year. I saw a tankbag on a BMW RT1150 that was bolted on the fuel cap. You could pick the bag up and refuel with the tankbag still on ( it was hinged to the fuel cap). Does anyone have any idea where I can purchase one?
Thanks Saint Pete Phil
P.S. Wife and I went for a great ride to Cedar Key last weekend. Stayed at the Island Hotel great place.

I saw an 1100RT with similar (same) tankbag that is hinged to the fuel filler. I've been searching the internet for this bag. Thanks for the info BradfordBenn ! ! !

hey phil,
i was at sunbeamers as well. first rally ever. nothing to do with the tank bag. just thought i'd type a message. :type
I was going to buy that bag until I saw two of them with milage on them thaat were sagging in the back where the support in the bottom had weakened and bent til the bag was resting on the tank. Didn't get a chance to find out if it was due to overloading or defect. I bought the BIG Marsee with trhe side pockets and expandable center section. And I like it! Filling the tank isn't that much trouble. Two snaps, rotate bag to handle bar and that's it. :clap

The Big Mac has two bases- one metal one plastic. If you lean on your tank bag one will bend and snap back until it breaks, the other will just bend and stay bent. The Marsee has a magnetic column and I saw another brand that has a locking column with a pull release. I like all three's design over my BMW bags.
