Has anyone found the connection point to which the wiring harness for the Nav. is connected on an 04' 1150 RT? With all the body panels off I still don't see it.

My Service Manager stated that he believes it is "plug-n-play" to the accesory outlet...or the radio plug. Another source is (possibly) a wire under the tank. But then I have an '02.
If this not working, call your service manager.

Does it pull power off of the accessory outlet? That's how it works on my GS. The harness snaps into the accessory outlet.
I didn't realize it was such a mess under all that plastic. I think I'll leave mine on and let someone else work on it. :)

Up towards the headstock you're looking for a white (female) socket emerging from the wiring loom......often taped in place at the factory & hard to see......
The black (male) plug on your Nav II harness plugs straight in......it ill be a switched feed, operated by the ignition key....
Sorry, no pix as I no longer have the 1150RT....

That's certainly how BMW power up the Nav One......but not the Nav Two.....

I did the same thing when I installed mine. I spent a few hours looking then made a trip to Bob’s BMW. It plugs in between the either accessory plug and the harness.
Have fun

Thanks a mil. for all the input. I'll go have another look. I will also let ya all know what I find. Be watching for a new pic! :thumb :thumb --UPDATE-- For those of you that answered -- (The harness snaps into the accessory outlet.) Gezzzzzzzz that was just to easy. Well at least the wiring won't be hard to run now with the bike sitting there naked. Here's me doing a victory dance! :twirl Thanks again!!
