Everyone,

One of the people I work with is working on a photographic project that could involve motorcycles, especially vintage cafe racers and I am trying to talk him into a trip to Mid-Ohio this year (with me in tow as hired hand of course :) ).

If anyone has any good pictures of Mid-Ohio showing bikes, what the weekend is like overall, and maybe people in vintage racing garb, please post here or PM me. I'll be using the pictures to show him how cool Mid-Ohio is and that it is worth a trip (your photos will not be used for publication).

Heck, if you have any vintage racers and wouldn't mind having them photographed, let me know that too!

Thanks!

You've probably already thought about contacting Tom Cutter, or Anton Largiader, as well as the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association, and WERA Vintage Racing. Or, the Airheads mailing list. I guess it was the 'vintage racing garb' that suggested the vintage racing, which might overlap, but I wasn't sure was exactly the same direction for the project as, 'vintage cafe racers.'

I have been to Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course many times for both cars and motorcycle events.
You can count on a lot of walking but the place is a gas! Needless to say there are more spectators for a superbike event but wandering through the paddock area talking to the racers and seeing the machines up close just can't be beat.
At a vintage auto event I saw an early 90's Dale Earnhart Lumina next to a 66 Corvair painted the same way, black Goodwrench#3!
