I don't about some of you, but a garage is a great place for motorcycle posters, pictures calandars and the like --- or so my wife tells me.
Anyway, the site www.vintagearte.com, has some neat BMW posters -- in sizes of varying size and price. Airheads of course. I think the newest are a couple of Cycle Word covers of an R750.

Back when my garage had walls with space on them for art, I had a laminated map of the Dolomites (roadmap on one side, picture map on the other, with holes in the corners so I could turn it over from time to time), a laminated map of the Isle of Man, and a gator-board mounted Duc 750F1 poster. I still have an orange, illuminated, GENUINE BMW PARTS sign that I no longer turn on. (I'd prefer an Aprilia sign these days since BMW has become an embarrassment to their heritage.)

If anybody wants to buy a pair of R100GSPD dealer posters, I have some that I'll never put up.

Time to put that smugmug account to good use. I'm always on the look out for cool stuff to hang in the garage. Here we go.

I picked this up in Rocky Mountain National Park last summer when I camped there on my way home from the Paonia Rally. I love Colorado and can't wait to get back there again.

I admit it, I like what Jesse James does with his bikes. The checkered flag came from a Indy 500 party that I worked at my catering company that we were just going to throw away. I saw the potential for my then as yet non-existent garage space and squirreled those away for about a year before they could take a place of honor in my garage. I think that I may have hung them up before anything else.

This is a poster that I picked up at the Indy dealer show last year. Revard BMW let us use a couple of their passes to go because my dad fixed a couple of BMW special tools that they had that had broken, and he also copied a few that he had made for us that he had laying about. I believe that he was Ed, and that I was Neil for the day. The tobacco that you see hanging is some that my roomate from North Carolina brought back with him last summer from his family's tobacco farm.

I just love these cheapie Mexican religous icon candles that you can get at the grocery store in the ethnic foods aisle and at Wal-mart. I find them both funny and cool at the same time.

The plate on the left is tha plate from my old airhead prior to when I sold it. Funny enough thought, the plate that was on there when I did sell it ended up on my dad's /5 for a while. Mom wasn't so happy when she found out that we were riding the thing around with the plate from another bike and with no insurance. The plate on the right is the plate that was on Red Pony 1 when I bought it from my buddy Blake Smith in Nashville. It's good to know your roots.

Again, more WCC stuff because I think that it's cool. The bike with the eagle is a patio stone that my grandma gave me for Christmas a few years ago that she thought I would like. It definitely had potential at the time, and now has a place of honor above the entry door into the garage.

Here is my toolbox that my brother gave to me after he bought a big old Snap-On box for work. As you can see I only have a few stickers on it. This isn't the best picture but you can see the Die Yuppie Scum sticker that I bought at Weir's Beach a few years back when I went to the Yankee Beemer's Pemi River Camput during Laconia Bike Week. You can also see the little air compressor that I got for my birthday from my mom and dad in February.

Smutty bike calender from the British magazine Superbike. Censored for the family board that this is.

Another poster that I picked up at the dealer show. If you look closely you can see the double tap system that we have on our kegerator. My two roomates are into home-brewing so we usually have at least one beer on tap. Right now I think we have a Weizen and a Dunkles.

Well I hope that this encourages some other people to show what cool art they have in their garage. I remember we had a show your garage thread a year or so back, and think that we may be due for another one with all of the new people that we've had pop up since then.

Before I rearranged everything in the garage, I had a bunch of motorcycle license plates screwed to the side of a cabinet. I had several years from Tennessee, a few from Colorado, one from my bike in France, a couple or three states of the People's Republic of China and one each from Germany, Hong Kong, Australia and South Africa.

I've only had the garage for two months, so not much stuff yet. Just posters that I picked up at the IMC year before last, one of the full range of Ducatis and one of the Triumph Rocket III. My /6-riding co-worker has a large flag the has a BMW roundel on a light blue background but I have yet to talk him out of it.
