I am currently in the post Idea stage of a patch for the rounders. This should look different than the current sticker. It will have the roundel and in the 4 "squares" each one will have a season in it. Instead of BMW on the top it will say Rounders. May replace the sun with a construction barrel. What say you?

Can you say copyright. A guy on Vic's site was going to make embroidered hats W/colors to match K12's in the roundel, was contacted by a lawyer with a hammer.
Is that a Northern Exposure dude in your avitar now?

I dont think it would be a copyright issue if you didnt sell them. Cant you print a shirt with anything on it and wear it, as long as you dont sell/profit from it. Maybe a 1st amendment type thing?

It is true that you can do pretty much whatever you want for your own use. This is true for patents, too. BUT, distributing artwork may be over the line.
I like the concept and wish that BMW would make it a little easier for its patrons to show the colors but... the cost of one legal opinion so to reply to a letter from beemer legal beagles may not be worth it. :fight
I still want to see what you come up with. It sounds cool.

Did anyone see a post in this thread by me or did I just imagine that I wrote a post that was uncomplimentary to BMW NA, BMW AG and the BMW MOA?
Did I forget to mention...

No doubt that I would be interested in a free one, or two, and then I'll pay you for them. No one will know the difference, unless they read it here, and I never said that.

while there are no rules or laws regarding rounderdom, and rightfully so, i would argue that the spirit of the rounders is not BMW-centric. it's more about riding any bike all year round, as opposed to riding a BMW. yeah, it got started here, but i have just as much respect for a guy riding a UJM all winter as i do a guy on a bmw. so you might consider a patch design that is more in keeping with the spirit, and then you avoid any talk of copyright issues.

You can be sure that I waved back.

I don't see any deleted posts.... but Loraz also has said he is missing a post that he thought he wrote. So perhaps there was a hiccup? :dunno

in austin, if it's below 45-50, we're all brothers! if it's in the 20s, something is very wrong, and people arent even taking their cars out. ;)
cops down here wave to me all the time, regardless of bike. they usually do "the nod" and i wave and they re-nod or wave back.
