I have a 98' RT and I am tryng to remove the fairings, but I'm hung-up on the mirrors. The screws that hold the right mirror turn when I try to remove the nuts. I cant see how else I can remove them. Can anyone help?

There aren't any screws that have to be removed to remove the mirrors. To remove the mirrors simply hit the outside edge of the mirror from the back of the bike to the front with one hand while holding it with the other. The mirror is held on by three spring clips.

Thanks. Last night I got the mirror to come off, but the plastic retainer broke, so I was worried about pulling to hard. I'll go out and try to pull it off. I'm trying to get the fairings off, and it seems as though I need to take the mirror housings off first. :thumb Thanks again.
