R1200GS - Mounting Jesse Rear Compartment and Top Box
Yesterday, I received a Jesse rear compartment and top box for my bike. :thumb
I've mounted them up and put together a brief page on how to do that. Hopefully, someone may find it useful.

Now that I have a top box, I intend to leave the side cases off except when I am on tour and commute with just the top case.

I did that for a while and then decided to go back to the saddlebags/side cases to keep the center of gravity lower. It also helped lessen the amount of crosswind effect. Of course there is no wrong way to do it, but just figured I would pass on what I found with my RT.

Gotta agree that the topcase is affected by crosswinds much more than the sidecases. I would rather ride without it, just using it when I really need it or have a passenger.

Well, I look forward to trying it out and finding out for myself if the small pizza box makes a difference (to me) like you say. Film at 11 as they say...

I have updated the page and added detail about how to mount the rear compartment and top box so that it doesn't loosen up over time.

So far, I haven't noticed any wind issues with thhe 36L pizza box in place.
