O-kay I parked my bike the other day on a hill in gear. I had to move it a bit so I poped it into neutral and started to roll back, all of a sudden it stopped like I hit a curb. I rolled it foward a bit and tried rolling back again and it would not move. I started it up put it in gear and pulled away. Today it did the same thing on a level surface, in "N" started to roll back and stoped like it hit a curb, pushed it foward a bit and then it would roll backwards fine......whats going on?????? Has this happened to anyone else, and if so is it an indication to a bigger problem? Any and all help appreciated. Thanks!!!!! :dunno

That's not good to hear. I have an '03 RT, and I can roll it around all day in neutral, forward and backward. I don't know if the GS's tranny is substantially different or not. Maybe the GS has some kind of limiting roll-back feature in it? :dunno
I'd be calling a BMW dealer soon!

It does not that is what has me concerned. I was able to roll it foward and backward all day long before. This just started happening the other day, and I am concerned. I have had several problems with this bikes trans before, and thought it was resolved.

If you can't roll it around, then you're not really in neutral. Some of the units that detect gear selection have been known to be flakey, so do it by feel, not by the little LCD. In other words, never trust the N indicator.
