I know this has been asked before but I can't find the thread and I did a search with negative results.

Where can I get them and what is the best location on the bike for them.

I am riding an R1150RT with standard bags

Thanks

Bill

Putting "Bungie Buddies" into Google yielded

www.hyperlites.com/

which has them listed when you select the "Products" link.

I don't have them on my bike, but I've seen them mounted on the tops of the BMW sidecases, so that cargo can be carried on the seat or on top of the cases.

I got mine from Max BMW (http://maxbmwmotorcycles.com/catalog/catalog.asp) and still have yet to mount them. Just haven't needed them yet.

Another great source for bungie buddys is your local auto recycler/junk yard , just ask where they stack thier mini-vans & wagons and go for the roof racks!!!!! :D

If you want to use Helen's straps (excellent product) with bungie buddies, get yourself some decent caribiners from the local outdoor shop. They will allow you to use her straps without leaving any annoying rings on them.

I like using the straps, beause you can tailor them to the load and not have to string the bungie all over the dang place to get it tight. You just cant pull too tight,or you may pull the bungie buddy through the mounting hole.

Thanks for the info. Hyperlites is in Michigan. So if time allows I will stop on my way to Escanaba. Checking the map it doesn't look like it is much out of the way for me.
