Ok everyone. I need you to open up your hearts and your wallets. Think not of yourselves. It is better to give than to recieve. Inside this tent tonight brothers and sisters you can make a difference! I need everyone of you to send me just one dollar (american dollar, sorry no pesos). I know in my heart you will feel better about this after you have done it.
You see,I'm wanting, ooops, I mean needing a brand new R1200 GS. I like the blue one. Yes brothers and sisters you can help me tonight accomplish this goal, and feel better about putting another rider on the road, and on a new BMW motorcycle.
When you send me a dollar I will send you as a gift, from me to you, absolutely nothing. Dear friends I am an honest man,and all I need from you is help. You can do it friends, you have it in your hearts,I just know it.
If you cannot send money, please send Beer.
I thankyou, and may God Bless you!

I'm so sorrry, Gnome, I can't help.
We don't have dollars here on this side of the pond.
But if you get over here I lend you my 1979 Vespa Bravo for a weekend!
-Have you posted this in a forum in Africa?
Sometimes I get an e-mail from a man who say I can get a lot of money from him if I lend him a few dollars and let him use my bank account. I haven't done that because I wonder why he picked me?
:-) :-) :-)
Here's an idča:
Pick up parts from the trash and build a new BMW all by yourselfes! Make a new model!

It would be a great idea that the BMW MOA could sponsor a rider once a year by way of Lottery. Everyone sends in a dollar. The money could be added yearly to the cost of membership.
Every year a name is drawn from the list of members, and the money goes to the rider. Think of all the memberships we could get from that. More memberships, more money. And more money equalls more beemers.
I still really would like to get a R1200GS. I sat on one yesterday. It reminds me a lot of the Elephant when I sat on it. (Not the animal, the Paris to Dakar bike). Except on the elephant I could hardly touch the ground. The R12 seems ready, and becons me to get on and ride like the wind.
Good article about Neal Peart and his GS bikes in this months magizine. What a talented man,he makes two hands sound like six.
Well,I guess I got off on a tangent. I just have the "I wants".

True.
Over the weekend I went to the open house "Spring Fling" at BMW Motorcycles of Atlanta. Those people are really great and so hospitable. One big happy family, and they made us all feel like were were part of it. Hats off to Bob and Lynda for a great time.
