The new RT is fuglier than the lot. I love the new ST! It's sad cause I liked the looks of the old RT. The K1200R is scarey looking but I could live with it.

None of them. It really is better if we don't get too deep into a discussion of what's ugly. For example, some people swear that the K1 is a beautiful bike. IMHO, it is aesthetic atrocity. Then there's the airhead RT's...ick. Luckily they're better than the K-RT's. THOSE are unbelievably fugly. What were they thinking? "If ve can get it to have ze charm and grase of ze zinder block, ve vill have suck-seeded!"

But I suppose if we need to pick one of those...I'd have to agree with Bob. That Suzuki encapsules all that was wrong with the metric cruisers of the '80s.

A close second would be the K1.

This of course is helped along if one is near-sighted or very drunk. The new bikes, mostly the ST, don't appeal to me. But I'm sure that there are folks out there just foaming at the mouth with money in hand waiting to get one. The saying "different strokes for different folks" comes to mind. How many times have you been in Wal-Mart and seen a BIG woman... I really BIG woman with a few little kids running around with one in the cart? It makes me SHUDDER, but somewhere, for some reason that is as foreign as Chineese Alegebra to me, there is a guy who found her attractive enough to have sex with her.... "different stokes for different folks"

I don't think the new ST is ugly...

The Multistrada looks "practical", not ugly necessarily...

I guess I pick one of the big KTM's, like the 950 Adventure. Too angular, too straightline, but everything I read talks about how great they are.

I'm a pure "form follows function" kind of guy, so looks aren't that big of a deal to me. As long as a motorcycle does what I want it to, I don't much care what it looks like.

One of my friends bought a new Kawasaki Vulcan 750 last year. The ugliest bike on the planet is more beautiful than that plain, generic, sled. It has an ugliness that eclipses aesthetics.

Any Harley with that "bat-wing" looking fairing...

The new ST and RT's are stinkers too.

I like the Multistrada, though.

I voted for the Multistrada but I would have to say that the BMW CL series of 2 models has to be up there. To the gentleman who mentioned the Madura, it had nearly 100hp the CL's barely 60 or so I'm told. One other thing, If one head light is good, sometimes 2 are better but 4... stop the insanity!

I agree with RT guy on the Pontiac Aztec. What was General Motors thinking!!

The Speed Four is considered ugly with the proturding air scoop ,the pollywog head lamps, and the "excuse" for wind protection derived from the head of a praying mantis, but, . . . but, the bike is probably one of the best handling machines ever to hit the track in the 600cc range. That little sucker has about a 110 horsepower and will out turn pretty much everything out there.

If you've ever ridden one and considered the price at $6,200, you just can't call it ugly even with the nasty Kirmit the frog green color or their Halloween Orange. It's too bad Triumph pulled their 05's from the American market. Those who know that bike quickly get past the looks. . . .and everyone else on the track.

Suzuki Madura

wow, i think you're right!

i searched high and low to find a bike that i disliked more than this thing and i couldn't find it, even that awful looking rotary engined RE-5 looks better, or at least is more interesting. this has everything i hate in a bike, small tank, disgustingly high/angled back handlebars, ugly as sin radiator with almost no thought as to its placement and a seat arrangement that makes me want to :sick

seriously terrible

I like the 'busa in a weird way. Or maybe I just like it more than the rest of their bikes. As beautiful as a charcoal on black R1 is, the GSXR-1000 in blue and white is painful. ick.

I like the 'busa in a weird way.

The front end has a certain feminine look to it. Kinda like the Edsel grill. I thing it works on the male part of the brain - you know - behind the zipper.

A 1970ish Yellow Honda Trail 90 with the rear rack removed. It's bad...... :sick

But then, I'm not sure if it qualifies as a motorcycle either. I'm trying to find a picture of it......need a little help, if anybody's got one.

I remember seeing a video of someone racing one around the Streets of Willows or some similar racetrack. Looked funny as hell. Even funnier was the promo trying to pitch it as handling better than a 600cc Race Replica.
