I have an '04 R1150RT and bought a pair of Hella FF55 lights on EBAY.
After looking at my fairing and forks, I think maybe I goofed and should have bought the motolights. I want longer range lights than the motolights but I can't see where to mount the FF55S on the RT.

First, the Hellas are nice lights. :nod
Second, there are several brands of lightbar for the RT. One place, Cyclegadgets (http://www.cyclegadgets.com/products/lightkits/?bike=R1150RT) comes to mind as selling several different models.

Yes, there is an article on mounting the Hellas in this months ON but it's on a R model, not an RT.

I had a Martin mount on my R-RS and I now have one on my R1200GS. They are well made and strong. This guy sells them and is good to deal with: http://www.creativecycleconcepts.com

I am considering the RBR mount for my 04RT. Do you have to remove the mounting bar(s) to get the side fairings off? I would assume not, but wanted to verify.
Thanks.
