Came across this picture of a Vintage BMW in Google pictures,

That is Ernst Henne next to a Rennsport machine built/raced around 1935...the bike that is, but Ernst is older than that. This must be a picture reuniting rider and bike. It's a 750cc bike. I think it is the slimmer version of this bike, without the fairing:
