I discovered a hairline crack low on the right side of the fairing of my '03 K12RS, right next to one of the screws. Any suggestions as to how to repair it? My first thought was crazy glue. Will that do the trick? A replacement is like $800-900. :doh

I wouldn't use super-glue. You need the proper adhesive for the exact type plastic used. One bet would be try a bumper repair recovery place. So many cars have/use them now, these type of repair facilities are springing up in most metro areas. Another would be to find any place that does "plastic welding". They can fix you up.
Super Glue will either do nothing, or make a big mess of your fairing.

I've used a plastic repair kit called "Plastex" on Kbike fairings with excellent results. It's not a glue, but a combination of a liquid solvent and a dry power "filler" that bonds to almost any type of plastic. Works great !! Take a look at www.plastex.net.

If you're a Do-it-yourself-er, you can get a plastic welder kit for about $190.00. The manufacturer is Urethane Supply Co., and any Tool Dealer can get it. I've been planning to get one to stock on my truck, but I have a hunch it'd end up in my own garage. (It's not good to be your own best customer!)
It might be a little cashy for a minor problem, but if a person had a few other things to repair it could pay for itself pretty easily.

No crazy glue, eh? Well, at least I didn't consider scotch tape. :D
I will definitely check on the warranty, but I have a feeling it won't be covered. We shall see.
Thanks,
