YouTube and Vimeo videos have been posted recently. Some time ago I successfully posted a few using either the "link" code or the "embed" code provided by YT and Vimeo ... but they don't seem to work now.

What's the trick to posting these now?

Can BMWMOA add a YouTube and Vimeo positing button e.g. the "image" and "quote"buttons that we now have?

Really? I tried using the Share button, then selected Embed and copied/pasted the link:

Hey Kurt!

We've discussed this before. In fact we found out that the "embed" code was the ticket, but I am not having any luck now at all!!

Beginning to wonder if it has something to do with my web browser(s); I've tried it using Chrome, Mozilla, and Internet Explorer.

I've tried using the "new" embed code, the "old" embed code, and the "regular" YouTube link code ... . . nothing. :banghead

Most frustrating ... all of these codes work fine on two other websites. :dunno

Not sure what to say...I'm running IE8. Worked as you can see...

What happens when you add the embed code? Can you do it to a reply here so we can poke at it?

FWIW, I copy and paste embeded code from youtube every day with no real problem. I have noticed that at times it will take some time for all the links to come up and the video be viewable.

Don't forget to hit RETURN (sometimes a couple of RETURNs) after you paste the embed code, I struggled a bit with a few embeds and found that corrected the issue. (Using Google Chrome)

I can't get it working either. Tried everything posted here in this thread, plus a few more things. It used to work fine.

I upgraded to the latest Mozilla Firefox 8.0 last week and lo and behold, I can post YouTube vids again.

But it doesn't work using "Google Chrome".

John is an old-school pattern and mold-maker. He used to do a lot of work for us at Vetter Fairing Company, when we were down in Rantoul, Illinois.

Small town, thought I'd ask.

Yup, our village is small. Many BMW owners here and I have yet to meet more than a couple of them.

Hitting return after the embed link works for me!

Thanks!
