My '04 GS needs a battery. I've taken the dead gel battery to the dealer and they tested it and said it was toast. I should add I'm not impressed with this batteries performance - I've kept it on a proper gel trickle charger and it still died. What are my options for replacing it?

Try motorcyclebatteriesusa.com. They have a sealed battery for BMWs for $75.75. I just installed one on my RT and not have had time to evaluate its longetivity.

I put a Panasonic in my oilhead last fall. Except for the size of the terminal bolts its an exact fit. And they include the new bolts! Less than $50 from DigiKey. If you mail in the order with a check shipping is FREE.

Panasonic batteries... :thumb
The one in my old car is 14.5 years old. The one in my newer car is 5.5 years old. Neither are showing signs of slowing down, even at -25°F.
My motorcycles will get them next, although I have had great service from my BMW Mareg batteries (8 plus years).

Hmmmm,
I too had ONE bad AGM battery and it just so happened to be a WestCo too.
All of my Panasonics have performed admirably.
