clunky gearbox

Hi guys .I bought a f650gs and beeing really happy with the bike after riding a 1150gs for four years and I am having fun again. The questin is the 650s gearbox is clunky. Is it me or is something wrong with the bike and I have to do somthing about it?

Nope, it's not you or the bike. :thumb If you really don't like to hear the "clunk" when you go into first, pull the clutch in and count to five then put it in gear. The wet clutch is part of the issue (it's not a "problem"...just the way they are), and this allows it to disengage more. Now, the wet clutch is also a beautiful thing when off road and going slow since it doesn't get hot like your former 1150's could.

Thanks Greg for the tip I have to try that. But is not just the first gear is evry gear exept when the bike is cold.
