I read the posts about resetting the ABS system by grounding the middle wire of the "dummy" plug which should be under the seat, running up the rear mudguard, or on upper right frame area, however I can't seem to locate it on my 1990 k1. I called two dealers and they weren't much help. I'll admit that the problem may be me or my understanding of what I am looking for.

I DID FIND A 3 WIRE unplugged-plug on the LEFT side of the frame, under the seat, above the battery box, however this is connected to the brain of the engine management system, not the ABS brain ?!?

There is definitely no plug running from the rear mudguard. Is a K1 different than a 100 or 75 in this area?

help? I need to reset this bike's ABS after battery died. Thanks.

The 3-pin plug should have a blue dummy plug in it to prevent dirt and water from entering. Pins 1 and 3 go to the Motronic unit and pin 2 goes to the ABS Control Unit. Pins 1 & 3 are used to read out/reset Motronic faults and test the TPS setting. Pin 2 is for reading/resetting the ABS faults. Pin 1 should have two Brown/Black wires and pins 2 & 3 should each have a single Brown/Green wire.
