After two years of sellers remorse, I have replaced my old black GS 1150, with ?,, another black GS 1150, with allot less mileage. (I am happy to be back)... My question to the forum is: I am looking for the best, picturesque ride delivering my bike from Pittsfield MA, back to Colorado.
Thanks,
jnerges

northeastern New York - the Adirondack Mountains are very pretty, look for routes 3, 28, and 30. May be out of your way.
western New York - the Finger Lakes area is very pretty, but slow unless you're on the interstate (toll road).
northern Pennsylvania - route 6; halfway across the state are several state forests.
West of that gets boring fast until you're back in CO. ... I'm sure our other members will counter that with additional suggestions.
If you decide to hustle later, interstates 70 and 64 are both fast and good; 64 is nicer.

i'll suggest the north shore of Lake Superior, via the Tobermory Peninsula and the Soo Locks.
Also, US 18 across South Dakota is pretty good, as it the area to the SW of Valentine, NE.
