'95 F650GS Dakar - Low fuel light stays on.

I am going to look at a '95 F650GS Dakar (with 11,000 miles) today. The owner states that the "Fuel low" light stays on. Could this be a simple fix, or an indication that the fuel pump assembly may need to be replaced?

Maybe the same thing that was going on here. Easy to check and correct if it is the problem.
