So far, I'm loving my new G, but I do have one issue with it. It seems to me the throttle return spring is extremely stiff.

I've ridden several different makes and models of bikes, and I thought my R90/6 had a stiff throttle, but this is by far the worst. I find my right hand going to sleep after about half an hour, despite switching hand positions and using different finger combinations for grip.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there anything I can do to reduce the spring tension?

Have you considered a throttle friction lock of some sort? (i.e. Throttlemeister, etc)

I decided to put on a Crampbuster that I had previously tried on other bikes and didn't like. The problem I had with it on the other bikes was that the amount of handgrip twist between idle and full throttle was too great to find a single position for the Crampbuster that would work.

On the G, it seems to be working well. There does not seem to be as much throttle twist idle to WO, so it was easy to find a comfortable position for the Crampbuster. I'll keep using it and see how it goes.

I installed this unit on my 2009 G650GS this past spring. Following the directions it took me about half an hour to install after gathering the parts together and prepping them.

Mine works great although it won't hold the bike at speed going up or down steep grades.

I don't know if the 09 and the 11 have the same set up on the handlebars.
