I've got a 2000 R1150GS that won't start. It has been sitting for the past 3 months and the battery somewhat died. I've been charging it for the past 48 hours and I'm pretty sure it held a charge. All I hear is "click, click, click, click, etc.....), but nothing else. Please give me any suggestions that come to mind. Thanks a ton.

Did you put a voltmeter to the battery terminals to see if the battery has full charge?

Not yet. I tried starting it during my lunch hour. I only had enough time to remove the battery charger (plugged into the acc. outlet) and turn the key. I'll check it with a volt meter tonight. Is it supposed to read 14V?

It sould read around 12.3 volts when not running, and around 14 when the bike is running and charging it.

Oh yeah, if it wont start, I will give you 200 dollars for it to clear out the garage space :D

Thanks for the info.
Loraz...I appreciate the offer to clear out my garage, but I will give it just one more try.

The battery was bad. I replaced it with a gel battery, and everything works perfectly now. Thanks for the advice.
