Key ignition issue '99 F650

Pulled out my key from my '99 F650 and a little piece of red plastic came out....now the key will not go back in the ignition.....any advice, solutions?

Fayette, you'll probably get better response posting on the F-G 650 *Single* section rather than here on the 2007+ F- Twins. Although maybe they use the same ignition?
