I have an 97 RT, and a 98 RS that I want to add fuel line quick disconnects to. I was wondering if anyone could give me a clue to where they should be located. The RS has just fuel line, the RT has preformed lines. My guesss is to cut the lines about 2" form the fuel log lines (ie hard plastic) just above the right side throttle body.
Is this right? Any place I can find a picture on line?
thanks, Brian Fisk getting snowed in again

Not sure on your model. On my R1100R I used the GS direction and put them above the right throttle body under a piece of trim. I picked the only place the lines ran straight and parallel. Hope that helps a little bit.

Brian, I installed 'em on my '00 R1100RT exactly as you describe. They've been fine so far. Very handy upgrade when it comes time to pull the tank, as I'm sure you already know.
BTW: the guy at the parts counter suggested I very lightly lube the connector with the O ring, just enough to help protect the ring while plugging-unpluging the fittings. There has been some problems with the O rings (tearing, I think). I remember a recall some months ago. Dealers inspected and replaced them if necessary.

Yup. It was real fun riding along with a stream of gas hitting the top of the RH cyinder. Dealer took care of it. Keep 'em greased up.
