They predicted rain today but after a rainy night last night it turned out pretty fair today. Had both the bikes out but I had a new set of Michelin's put on the Duke on Friday, so I just had to take it out - what a great bike. It doesn't have the top end of the boxer, but it is a torque monster and it gets to speed extremely quick - and it is so nimble you don't even have to steer it - just think about the direction of the next curve and you are through it! Too bad I can't sit in the fetal position it requires for more than 90 minutes! The RT has the best ergo's of any bike I've ever ridden - and the Duke probaby has the worst!

I am jealous. Althought tomorrow looks promising, if only I didn't have to work. :cry

I got to take a Ducati 998 on a test ride last spring and absolutely loved it. Doing 100 MPH in third gear was pretty darn cool. They are absolute monsters when it comes to toruque. I got it up to about 130 on a deserted straight that I know about off the main road and quickly realized that as much as I loved riding the thing, it wouldn't be a good idea to buy a sportbike anytime soon. My wallet wouldn't be able to handle the tickets, and methinks I would crash.
