I realized one day that the back end of an RT just isn't that noticeable, I want to be seen. I’ve stuck some reflective stickers on my hard bags, but that just isn’t enough for me. So I started looking for reflective stickers for my helmet at skate shops, on line, and so on and so forth. I didn’t find anything out of the ordinary, so I bought some reflective tape and made my own design. Here it is. And what I wanna know is what you’ve got stuck to your lid? Any cool, nothing at all? What?

Here's another one showing how it looks at night with a light on it.

That rocks! I use SOLAS (Saferty of Life at Sea) stadard tape - can usually pick it up on EBAY - and put it all over the back of my bike and helmet - also on the sides of my helmet - but it doesn't look as good as that custom job on yours!

If you're luck enough to have a co. near you that makes highway signs, or if ya live in a cty. big enough to have a sign shop as pert of thier dpw , very politely ask if ya can forrage in there trash or scrap bin,,,for the cost of a doz. day old donuts ya can usualy get enough solas to last a lifetime...also on the subject of rear lighting ,on my R1150r I replaced the rear reflector [the one below the plate] w/a truck side marker light of the same size..Its wired into the plate light wires ,the bulb monitoring curcuits only watch tail & stop light bulbs so this addl. draw doesn't affect thier electronic sensibilitys .. :type

When I bought my current helmet I removed all labels except the DOT one. I don't like wearing advertising. Then one day on a lark I wandered into a chopper shop. Nothing there much impressed me but they had some Day-Glo orange stickers that warned not to remove the helmet until after being checked out by medical personnel. The bottom of the sticker had some ambulance-chaser's name and number. I cut off the shyster's data and stuck one on the front and one on the rear of the helmet.
Of course I've also got some bug-splats most of the time too. I think some of them have become permanent.

Definitely different enough to catch attention - day or night!
I stuck a reflective American flag on the back of my Shoei.

I think my Avatar show what I have. I have a Halo reflective band, an MSF reflective triangle and then lots of retroreflective stuff on my bags.

Most motorcycle helmet designs seem to focus on speed, aggression and some kind of attitude I just can't seem to muster. I thought both of these designs really were more in keeping with my psyche and personality.

Yep thats me alright - here some pic's of my favorite bucket - it had a dot approved sticker on it - the guy also tried to give me a snell sticker but even i wouldn't go that far - as you can see i added a few more stickers so that it would fit my personality better - this was my #1 choice in my Hardly Davidsin days :D

ask and you shall receive.
i took my inspiration from the mighty kbasa and he put me in touch with ted so i could have cows on my hat as well. sentiments are much the same as kbasa - thought the all black helmet looked too bad boy so i used the cows to lighten it up a little. (plus i live in a rural area and thought people might get a giggle out of it)
