Tank knee pads are glued in place. The judicious use of a heat source, like a Wagner hot air gun will soften the adhesive, but too much heat too close will bubble paint. I'm not sure if there is a knee pad set for a GS. On /5's and/6's, there is an embossment in the tank(touring tank) for placement of the pads.

If there aren't any stock availiable, you might want to look for some that would fit a K-bike. They may fit weird, but they might work.

Bob's BMw got me the pair of "police" kneepads for my /7. Seems the British Police wanted them on their bikes. Might work. Motobins might have them as well.

There are not OEM kneepads for your GS unless it's a PD ... and then you should already have them.

IMHO there aren't any that are going to look good and if you insist you might install some clear protective plastic instead.

Unlike your K-bike, the GS doesn't NEED them, as there's no fuel heating.

Dealer prices are usually quite reasonable--just not at all dealers. Nothing to be afraid of. Try Chicago BMW online
