I met a friend at Corbin. He was there for a ride-in fitting appointment for his VStrom's seat. Since, among other things, I was working and had a couple of guitars in the back that were motating toward SF for a trade (which did not happen), I was driving the door-slammer.

The last Airhead I had was weraing a Corbin. So I asked if they had any Gunfighters in stock for an R100RS...Mr. Corbin's man looked and said none in stock, butt they could make me one. I told him I didn't have the bike, was waiting for a friend, etc.

He said, "If you want one, I'll have one made before you pal can get out of here." And, "Take this coupon for lunch at the restaurant". They have a restaurant attached to their seat-making facilities. One coupon gets lunch or breakfast for two for any meal on the "menu".

We'd eaten breakfast there already on Duner's seat, so to speak.

My question to Corbin was obvious, "How much". The price was $234 including tax. Within the realm of my price-point pain for impulsive purchases. And they only use leather now on these seats. Done deal.

I think Duner paid more.

I still have the perfect BMW seat, butt I couldn't help changing this one out today in the Sunday down-time.

If you don't like the way it looks, feel free to eat me instead of crowing about how ****ty Corbin seats are. Or how great the stock seat is...or whatever. Basically, I'm with you on all those issues. Butt it was a fun diversion.

Heck, A new gunfighter and a meal for only a few more dollars than a local upholstery shop quoted me to recover my dual canyon with vinyl. They wanted $175 and I think I would rather buy a new one instead.

Also...for what it's worth...I like a gunfighter. :thumb

errr, that bike is sweet, even if it had a doorknob for a seat.

Waaaay cool bike! :clap As far as seats go I don't personally care what make, brand or type is on any bike. As long as the owner's butt gets along with his/her seat on their ride than the issue of what is good or bad is really a moot point.
I am eagerly awaiting my Rick Mayer seat, and when you talk to 10 people you get 10 opinions, either good or bad, about his work or organizational skills.
All I know is that I will get a seat for MY butt, and not for someone else's. :p :p
Seats are like oil.. :dunno everyone gets hysterical about it :D
Just 0.02 cts and a lot of :coffee
