OK, I'm embarrassed to admit I can't remember where the battery ground cable attaches. I took the K1 apart for a clutch/transmission job, and months later I'm getting it all back together again. In the meanwhile, I have simply forgotten where the cable attaches. Does it attach to one of the starter holddown screws with the other grounds?

On my 91 K100LT it attaches to the transmission on the left side of the bike below and in front of the battery. There is a threaded nub for it.

It's on the left of the trasmission case. Here's a shot of the ground cable on my K1.

Thanks for the help, guys. I located it once I realized it was hidden from view behind the subframe (for the sidecar) tube on the left side. Apparently, I had removed the subframe first, then the ground wire. When putting it back together, I installed the subframe first.
So, it's going back together now.
