That bird reminds me of 'Charles' , who is also an African Grey I know from way back. I haven't seen him in 17 years but according to my buddy, who's dad owns it, Charles has a four page typed vocabulary by now and doesn't shut up :D :D
These birds are very bright and learn to associate words with certain actions by people. I.e when the kookie jar comes out the bird knows it's 'koffie' time and asks for a cup of java too!! :p Really neat
Maybe that lady has too much time on her hands but it doesn't take too long to get these birds to learn anything.

My dad had an African Gray named Boomer. He also had two dachunds who would periodically aggravate him whereupon he would sheperd them out the door saying "get out side". I was visiting and sorta bugging the parrot who was minding his own business and he let forth a piercing whistle and exclaimed "get out side" They are very smart.

I've had a Grey for 17 years. His name is Cosmo and he has about a 300 words vocabulary, several phrases and some tricks. His best trick is laying eggs. He laid number 9 last week. I know he is really a she but, after 17 years its to hard to change his name to Cosmette. :dunno
They are fun animals but are very messy!! And they live to be 50+ years old!

My friend had an African Gray he called Jimmy the Jerk.Though he was an animal food/pet store owner,Jimmy, who was very talented and wise, was not for sale.
His store burned down one night and Jimmy and other animals were killed. My friend didn't say too much, but he has never been the same.He has not gotten another gray, either.

African Greys are very intelligent birds and easy to train....
My Mom has one "Pepper" she has quite a vocabulary.. I have a Yellow Naped Amazon..."Sammy"..Which I have had since 1987....He is quite a character...
His favorite saying each morning as I come down the stairs is,"Want Some Coffee"...Now If I Could Only Get Him To Fix It.. :D
