With 45K miles on my 1200RS, the rubber grips are well worn. The ends are starting to separate so it's looking like time to replace them.
Can somebody fill me in on what it's going to take to replace these and what kind of cost I'm looking at? I'm somewhat mechanically challenged, so could I do this on my own? :help

For what it's worth, I am going through the same process on my LT. I saw some info on "Psycle Grips" and ordered. $10.00 delivered and they slip over your existing grips. I tore one so I am waiting for my second pair. I like the larger diameter and cost.

Hi,
I'm not sure about your model, but an easy way to get the grips to slip off is by squirting a little window cleaner or some WD40 between the grip and the bar. Makes them nice and slippery and simple to slide off.

Are they heated grips?

Yes, heated grips with the Euro switch setup
