I visited the Flight 93 Memorial today just outside of Somerset Pa.

I also visited the exhibit they have in Somerset of all the submissions that have been sent in for the design of a "Flight 93 National Memorial". This exhib is open until Feb 21st. if you like to see it your self.

Wow, there must have been 500 different submission. The group has been narrowed down to 5 designs which now get some money to take the concept into a actual model.

I was surprised to see one of last years pins from our Laurel Highlands Campout at the temporary memorial!

If any of you plan on coming to the Laurel Highlands Campout in June you'll only be about 10 miles from the crash site. Our campout is listed in the MOA and on the website if you need more info.

I visited the memorial last year when I went to the LHBMWR campout. All I can say is wow. I stood there looking around with my sinuses burning and my tear ducts gushing. Even now as I write this, I am sniffling. It was very simple and crude (not to criticize), but is was also very powerful. A group of us rode out there to visit and we all just kind of stood there in awe, each on our own world, mourning in our own way. I will definitely stop by whenever I am in that area.
