Gudday,
I'm fairly new to BMW M/C's. I've been riding other brands for over 40 years. My BMW is an 1988 K100LT with about 60k. I find myself saying "what took so long" to finally start riding a BMW. I use this bike for everthing. In my case I figure the LT stands for Light Truck .
The stock seat has a rip in it which doesn't bother me (to much) except for when it rains. Then it acts like a sponge and returns the favor. I really like the profile of the seat - Two Up Touring - and would like to end up with a similar profile after repair. The bike is old enough that new seats do not seem to be available. I've heard of a few businesses that can recover the original pan but I'm not sure whom I can trust. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Low Life
