i tried search but was unable to find anything - the helmet lock on my K75RT is almost impossible to get to - on my V-Star i was able to move the lock to a better location - have you guys done anything to help this situation on your 75's - on one of my bikes i used a dog choker chain & a lock - thinking maybe buying a helmet lock from Yamaha or Honda & mounting it someplace accessable - thanks

My Nolan doesn't have "D rings" so I use a chocker chain through the chin guard.......any better ideas?

I picked up a d-ring extention about 3" long from I believe Flanders. It's a T-shaped flat piece of chrome metal with a hole in the long end for the stock lock to go through. I think it was about $4.50 at a local bike (M/C) shop. Just makes it on my '85 RT.

I use a 6' plastic coated lightweight cable, about 3/16". I can loop it through the helmet(s) throught a jacket sleeve and hook it to the seat lock on the K100. Not so easy on the K12, but a small padlock works well. It coils up and lives in either the tankbag or a saddlebag lid.

I bought an aftermarket lock from www.bellacorse.com, and mounted it on one of the right side frame members. Quite pleased with results.

I use a small braided steel cable with two loops on each end. I put one end through the sleeve on my 'stich and through my helmet, run one end of the cable through the other loop and then secure on the helmet lock. I've been doing this when I've parked on campus to go to class and haven't had anybody messing with it. I'm sure that if someone really wanted to cut through it they could, but it helps to keep honest people honest, and gives piece of mind that when I'm sleeping in class no one is lifting any of my stuff.

I use one of these Helmet Guardians. Pretty convenient and so far effective.
