just a slight rub for you folks that are snowed in - i got in almost 200 miles of riding today - dem - it was a little chillieeeeee 55 degree's - but i lived thru it :twirl
I put in a little over 200 last Saturday. It was kind of cool as I left the house (45 degrees), but it warmed up to almost 80 within 100 miles.
Sky was clear and blue, roads were free of debris and wind was non-existent. :clap

I may not be able to ride, but I can still dream... I went to a couple of local bike shops today, sat on the 2005 Triumph Tiger, and pretended to be on a 200 mile ride.
PS. to all that rode today, you should be aware that snowballs stored in freezers for extended periods of time turn into painful iceballs, and Mark11LT is gunning for you.

I'm getting up at 5am tomorrow and riding to Death Valley. I'll ride the dirt roads of the park on Saturday, give away a bunch of swag we've collected on Saturday afternoon and then ride home on Sunday. I've got a fresh bottle of Elijah Craig 18 yo bourbon and a cigar to keep me busy tomorrow night.
Pictures and ride report some time next week. I'm getting up on Monday morning and flying to NYC for a trade show.

how deep do you have to dig to get to the rocks :D :p :D :p :D :p :stick
It's supposed to be somewhat decent tomorrow, at least for the most part.
I'm thinkin.....sleep in til 10am or so, roll the ole RT out of my garage (shop) and hit the road......for a 100 miles or so. :D :stick
Then maybe if the weather cooperates, do it again (only longer) on Saturday.
If you see me....just honk and I'll :wave .

after about 50-100 snowballs I can see rocks, but I make mine big because when you dunk them in water they shrink a little, then its in the freezer, or garage in my case :nra

Dave-Where you stayin'? I'm in the cabins at Furnace Creek. I'll be on the K75 with Utah plates, by a '99 Silver F650 w/Jesse bags. (Don't know which cabin, I'll have to search. Hope to see you there. Check the road conditions, these last storms tore up the DV roads pretty well.

Donkey - You are most definitely THE MAN. How did you keep warm, did you wrap yourself in the carcass of fresh road kill?

Hello; I layer up, and use that new super longjohns. I have a alpaca scarf, I think it is vicuna, I put that on after the helmet. Winter weight leather gloves, JR Ballistic 4, liner, and a padded shirt/hoodie. My knees were pretty cold, it took an hour or so to warm them back up. I pack rain gear, but didn't need it.
Thanks for teh encouragement.
Oops......got in another 225 mile ride on Friday.
Was running out of time, otherwise, I would have been shooting for an easy 300 miles. :D
Someone once told me....."life is too short, to not be able to ride year-round".
I do think that pretty much sums it all up............. :thumb
