i think it's active enough for me. mods are good, and there is always something interesting to read when i login. i mean jeez, round barns? i didnt even know they existed, let alone were interesting. i am still fascinated by by round BANKS. so i like the forum, and i find it to be very active.

post a specific question, like ask if you should pay your parking tickets, and you'll see all sorts of folks weigh in.

if this forum is too slow, go over to advrider and hang out in jo mama. a thread there goes from 0 to 100 replies in an hour or so - no joke. that'll keep you entertained.

I think the K-bikes are so reliable that we have nothing to talk about.
I agree with you. I enjoy the technical information from this forum rather than the banter about what rock band is the best.

We're getting about 100 to 125 posts a day. That's reasonable, IMHO. Not exactly a ghost town either. What I find on this forum is that folks tend to not create a zillion new threads, but rather talk about the existing ones for quite a while.

Come on now, give us some credit here!! Not everyone wants to see new post rehashing the same topics ad nauseum :snore :snore like: OIL?!??
Older posts often come to life after a while too :D If you have a question or a topic you want to add to this forum just go ahead and post.
Just please don't whine mmmmmmkayyyyy? :rofl :rofl

Dead? I hadn't noticed.. :D

I can't think of it being politics since this is the K bike forum. It's not the MOA forum - it is the K bike forum running under the BMW-MOA forums.

Is it the moderator? (me?) - dunno. I've done very little in the way of moderation.

What this isn't is a chat room - which might be what you're looking for. K bikes do tend to be rather trouble free, and for about 1/2 the country, we've moved out of riding season.

If you'd like the forum to be more active - please post, but try to keep it on-topic, which is K bikes. For general chit-chat, I'd suggest looking at the Campfire forum.

Best,

Nah....not dead....

We're just a group who comes up with a problem and asks the forums gods for sage wisdom and advice....after that we quietly retreat to our garages and take care of the problem....never to be heard from again

I keep plugging into this forum as my "Tender" to keep me charged up and besides, my clock is still running. If I were dead, my clock would have stopped , right? :dunno

It's because most BMW riders are out riding and not living on the WWW...

It is easier for me to "Ride the Web" than my bike this time of year. To date, I have not had my computer slip out from under me due to snowy/slippery conditions and the only ice that I have encountered has been from my Crown Royal cocktails. :thumb

Dead? No. Just out riding the Web. Thanks Tommy for reminding me what I was doing.

the NE weather having lived in California for so many years. I tried riding my Norton in the winter when I lived in Boston...

Now that you mention it the WWW is a window to the world when you are cooped up all frozen like.

That Crown Royal is rather tasty, enjoy.

I believe libertarian belongs in the second column, also both should end in sycophants. While I'm at it, shouldn't Trailer queen Harley riders be mentioned or nazi's? Come on whats a forum without comparing something to Nazi's.

hey Big Foot - many of the riders in the lower 48 dream of riding to Alaska - do you guys dream of riding to the great lower 48 :wave

We see it as a trip to America. I know a lot of people who ship their bikes to Seattle in late summer and go to Sturgis or take western US Bonzi trips. But, with Alaska summers being as short as they are, it makes it tough to want to leave for a ride "Outside" as we say it.

I grew up in south Mississippi then transferred (job) to NE Ohio when I was 29 years old I lived there for 4 years before transferring (job again) to Alaska 15 years ago. I had a bike in both places in the lower 48 so I did get some riding in while down there.

Riding in Alaska has put a permenant smile on my face that I don't see coming off any time soon. My only planned trip to ride to America is when I'm finished in Alaska and I not sure when that will be.

While here though, I ride Roadking on the blacktop and my 11GS on the gravel and keep on smiling.. :D
