View Full Version : BMW RT1150 Seat
Was wondering if anyone has ever tried having Temper Foam installed in there stock seat? The material is called Viscoelastic Memory Foam.I was hoping this would cure the sliding forward motion while braking and also lower the stock seat a bit.I have already bought a kit to bring the front of the seat up.
Thanks Phil Poore

I used some washers, longer fillister head screws, and plastic strips under the front seat mount. By tilting the seat up in the front I was much more comfortable and less likeley to slide forward.

Buttpad from Alaska Leather - made of sheepskin - it might help, check them out - very knowledgeable on BMW's
Not being totally happy with the BMW "comfort seat", I did consider modifying it at one time, but wasn't sure where to start or how to go about it.
So.....I looked to some after-market seats. I ended up buying a used CORBIN that was in like new condition, for less than 1/2 of what it would have cost brand-new.
I also bought a used CORBIN backrest for it.....again, in like new condition, at a great price.
For whatever reason, when you get great deals as I did, it makes the seat feel all that much better. :D
Oh yeah...the CORBIN was / is a great improvement over the OEM seat. :thumb
