Well I guess I should introduce myself.... My name is Jeff and reside in northern Fairfield County Connecticut. I've been a MOA member since the early 80's when I bought my first BMW a 1977 RS then I bought an '85 KRT which was fun until someone "hit and run" me on I-684 over in NY State in 1989 which put me out of commission for awhile. I then "borrowed" my brothers '77 R100S or 85 KRT for a few years.
A couple of years ago a guy a work said "I found a bike you gotta buy". Well, him being a Kawasaki owner I didn't pay to much attention to him until he showed me the ad and pictures...... WHAT???... A 1990 K1.. with the luggage package in unopened boxes??.. sitting in a barn with a few other bikes only 15 miles away?? 5,900 MILES!!!??... WHAT'S THAT PHONE NUMBER?
And now it's in my garage. It's fun at stop lights when someone asks:
"Is that a new BMW model?"
Me: "Nah, this thing is 14 years old"
Their reply is usually something like: (you fill in the blanks) "No _______ way!" or "Get the _____ outta here, you're kidding right?"
Anyway... Hello everyone. :wave
